MARTIUS advises Dermapharm AG on its entry into the Austrian family business

Montavit is a family-owned company that develops and produces medicines and medical products since 1945. Montavit focuses on the therapeutic areas of urology, gynecology, allergy therapy and herbal medicines. Its core competence lies in the production of sterile catheter gels.

Dermapharm AG is a fast-growing manufacturer of branded pharmaceuticals based in Grünwald near Munich. The company’s business model comprises in-house development and production as well as the distribution of branded products by a pharmaceutically trained sales force. In addition to the main site in Brehna near Leipzig, Dermapharm operates further production, development and distribution sites in Europe, primarily in Germany, and the USA.

In the segment of branded pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products , Dermapharm distributes more than 1,200 marketing authorizations with over 380 active pharmaceutical ingredients. The range of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and dietary supplements is specialized in selected therapeutic areas in which Dermapharm holds a leading market position, particularly in Germany.
