Torben Busch specialises in corporate and transaction law and advises companies, private equity funds and other investors across various sectors on domestic and international M&A transactions. His particular focus is on the private equity sector, where he regularly advises on complex company acquisitions and investment transactions on behalf of both buyers and sellers, guiding clients through every stage of the transaction process. In addition, his work includes advising on venture capital transactions as well as providing ongoing corporate law support, for example in relation to restructurings, governance issues and strategic shareholder matters.

Before joining MARTIUS, Torben Busch spent several years working at a leading US and a leading German corporate law firm. There, he advised on numerous complex, often cross-border transactions and developed a keen sense of structure, timing and negotiation dynamics.

In addition to his pragmatic, deal-oriented approach and his commercial acumen, clients particularly value his objective and measured style of advice. His motto is: keep your cool, even when the transaction doesn’t.

Before joining MARTIUS, Torben Busch worked for several years as attorney-at-law in leading international and German law firms.

He studied law at the university of Göttingen (2019) and completed his legal clerkship in Wiesbaden and Frankfurt am Main.
