Dr Carsten Albert advises companies, investors and entrepreneurial families on corporate and transaction law. He advises on national and international corporate transactions on both the buyer and seller side and supports institutional and strategic clients in structuring and negotiating investments, share and asset deals, and restructurings.

He also has many years of experience in advising on national and international venture capital processes, from early-stage and growth investments to secondaries and exits. He advises funds, start-ups, founding teams and corporate clients. Another focus of his work is advising family businesses, succession planning and the design of sustainable governance, holding and asset structures.

His advice combines entrepreneurial pragmatism with legal precision. Thanks to his international experience, Carsten Albert also supports clients across borders in German and English.

Dr. Carsten Albert

Dr Carsten Albert is a founding partner of MARTIUS.

Prior to this, he worked for several years at a leading law firm. He studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth (Dr jur.), Augsburg and Paris I – Sorbonne (Diplôme d’Université). He completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Celle and obtained an LL.M. in tax law from the University of Münster.
