Prior to this, he worked for several years at a leading law firm. He studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth (Dr jur.), Augsburg and Paris I – Sorbonne (Diplôme d’Université). He completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Celle and obtained an LL.M. in tax law from the University of Münster.
